Oh What a Weekend
What a weekend had we. I asked Aaron to update the site because it's been me for the last thousand days, but he said no due to the fact that he cannot swear on the site. A certain team seems to have brought anger, frustration, and gloom upon 22347 PCH #2 this weekend. Friday night was just bad. Enough said.
After the game we went to the Temple with Rachel and Andrew, although after the game all Aaron really felt like doing was going to sleep. He pushed his anger aside, though, and we went. It was our first time back since the wedding, so Rachel and I figured things out together. We were a team, a mighty good one at that I must say. Well, except for the time that we couldn't find a bathroom and I was led into what I thought was one but wasn't and was highly embarrassed. And then there was the time Andrew tripped three times walking down the stairs. Oh but before we even got there we parked and Rachel was imitating someone and said, "Holy crap!" in a semi-loud voice and received a very dirty look from a passerby. This happened just after we parked in the handicapped spot even though Rachel is pretty much healed. It's not expired and hard not to waste. Don't fret, there were plenty of other spots. What else - oh, Andrew almost killed us on the way home - but he's really good at ignoring blaring horns while he talks on his cell phone. I think Rachel wanted to wack the side of his head with her boot, but held back, much to Andrew's luck, since Aaron and I were there. Nah, just kiddin'.
Saturday was pretty dang typical. Actually, no, it wasn't. Aaron left at 7:55 to go surfing - I wouldn't have woken up but Marley cried for 10 minutes after his Daddy left. I was so insulted. I was hugging him in my bed while he cried for Aaron. So I got up and majorly cleaned the house (okay, that IS pretty typical) and then took Marley to the dog park. He played for an hour straight and when we left he was part black, part chocolate lab because slobber (from other dogs playing with him) + dirt (grass is going out of season I guess) = mud stuck to fur. But, he had a great time and believe it or not, that is completely worth it to me and Aaron.
When we got back the Saturday Giant's game was in progress. We watched that and were sorely disappointed. Why wasn't a pinch runner put in for J.T. Snow? Sorry Kace, he's just too slooooow to be in that position in such an important game. I don't know what to say about that. Maybe it's best left unsaid.
The Braves just lost. I believe both Courtney and KC have roomates that are fans of the Braves, so now you are all in the same boat. Go A's. We want some respect for the Bay Area.
Okay, so back to Saturday since you are thouroughly enjoying this, obviously since you are still READING it. Supermarket, laundry, rented a movie. "Anger Management" is very funny; I highly recommend it. But sometimes you get so frustrated with one character that it's actually annoying. For some reason he made me and Aaron frustrated in real life even though he's only in a movie. I wanted to smack him.
Today after conference we went to.... ta da..... the dog park! Luckily I was there because I think Aaron would have used his sarcasm and wit to tell off a woman there that yelled at us because Marley was "agressively throwing my dog to the ground and you just sat there". I walked over to her after she yelled, "come get your dog off mine"... well, what she failed to see is that her dog was frequently on TOP of Marley, and his "throwing it down" was simply getting another dog off his back. He is not homosexual. So be it. Anyway, I said, "I'm sorry, I thought that they were just playing" and she said, "Yeah, my dog is but yours is not and I don't even know it's name and you are just sitting there" (yes, lady, that's what the benches are for - the people). I "calmed" Marley down - all of the sudden he wasn't doing anything wrong - I must have missed everything. So I killed her with kindness (boy was that hard - she was pushing my buttons with personal attacks - no joke) by asking about her dog and getting into conversation with her. It worked and then she left a few minutes later. I asked another lady there if Marley had been bad and she rolled her eyes and said, "No.... new dog owners. They are so annoying".
I spent the rest of the day making my wedding scrapbook (not all fancy like Amy or anything but hey, the pictures are in there) and pink album. Now I'm hungry and hate living in Malibu because everyone is my height and 105 pounds. Oh well, I'm hungry. Back to work tomorrow... can't wait... nooooooo!
